The Pre-Flight Checklist
Raad's pre-flight checklist ensures your settings are correct and that you get paid - this is mandatory and failure to complete it prior to data capture risks non-payment.

At the site, open your mission and tap Start Mission to open the pre-flight checklist. The Start Mission button stays disabled until every item is confirmed.
- Select aircraft — pick the drone you’re flying from your registered list
- Location — the app checks your GPS against the site and shows your distance. Confirm you’re on location
- Equipment checks — RTK/PPK active, thermal camera calibrated, or other payload requirements depending on the mission
- Controller photo — for missions requiring specific settings (RTK, GSD), photograph your controller screen. The app analyzes the photo to verify the correct settings are active: overlap, GSD, flight time, R-JPEG on/off, UHR/super resolution OFF, photo mode, flight speed, mapping area, terrain follow etc.
The controller photo is your proof that your equipment was configured correctly. If data is rejected for a settings issue and you have the photo, you’re covered.
In additional to Raad's pre-flight checklist, you must have your own. No other person, software or regulatory body knows your airworthinness better than you do. Check TFRs immediately before takeoff, scan the ground and the skies for conflicts to your operation. Visually inspect your aircraft. Take a mental note of your mental state, fatigue level and preparedness. If you fail a Raad pre-flight checklist or your own pre-flight checklist - do not fly.
