How to Upload
Pilots can upload directly in the relevant Mission's page. The best way to upload to Raad is to first click the upload box and allow Raad to prompt your computer's index system. When your computer is prompted by Raad, select all of the data for the relevant mission. Do not upload folders. Upload the data in one master parent folder all at once.
Watch to ensure the upload has "processed". Once processing is complete, the uploader will indicate the uploads progress. Do not close or minimize tabs. Do not allow your computer to go to sleep or trigger a screensaver. Keeping the tab active will help avoid browser-related speed throttling. Ensure your internet connection remains uninterrupted. Once the progress bar indicates completion, you may close the tab.
Do not upload directly from SD Cards. First, back up your data into a fast external hard drive with a fast-rated wire. Then, upload the data from the fast external hard drive. Once you've upload the data to Raad, then you can format your cards.
Your data should always exist in two places at all times - one of these places can be in Raad. You want to work towards this data retention redundancy as soon as possible after capture. The second you land your drone, your data is at risk of loss. Take all means necessary to get a copy of your data on to a hard drive as soon as you land.
Always second guess yourself before formatting an SD card. There is no reliable way to recover data from a formatting SD card. The only option to recover lost data is to re-fly the mission at your own expense.
